Agency principal talks ‘that couple’ on BBC
Broadcasters all over the world have been wanting to discuss the ins and outs of the ‘Harry and Meghan Saga’ in recent weeks – and now they’re turning to Lexia’s Principal for an input.
Debbie Watson, who heads the business and has herself been in the media and reported on such significant events as the Queen Mother’s funeral, is now regularly being asked by the BBC to give her thoughts and reflections on Harry and Meghan’s media relationship, and their decision to step aside.
In recent weeks, Debbie has shared her perspective a number of times on BBC Radio Suffolk’s breakfast show, which is hosted by Mark Murphy.
The BBC breakfast team have also been seeking Debbie’s commentary and insight when it comes to Prince Andrew’s bizarre TV interview, and about the politicians’ handling of the Brexit showdown.
“I’m always really pleased to give a perspective on issues of national significance,” said Debbie.
“My daily job is about finding clients the opportunity to be a voice of authority in their arena, but equally, it’s always welcome if a broadcaster or newspaper wants my stance on a pressing news issue.”
As part of its suite of services, Lexia offers comprehensive media training packages, which can help people who anticipate being asked to attend broadcast interviews, or to give comments for print media.
