Covid outbreak creates coverage spike for Lexia clients

While many might have been wondering whether the pandemic and the uncertain business period was a time to lessen PR and marketing output, Lexia clients know all too well that it’s a great time to ‘be seen’.

Coverage captured by Lexia in the weeks since the official pandemic confirmation, has certainly increased across traditional and online platforms.

A number of Lexia’s long-term clients have direct relationships within the health and care sector, while others have been using this period to do great work for such services.

Clients such as West Earlham Dental Practice has been featured for its superb work in finding a way of getting PPE to care homes and carers.

Front and centre in the work of the voluntary sector has been Community Action Suffolk. Their impact has been acknowledged a number of times in the media, detailing how the organisation is helping to ensure that those who need help are accessing solutions provided by the superb VCSE body.

Suffolk Family Carers, meanwhile, has made sure to elevate its voice in both print and broadcast media about its incredible and vital work supporting ‘informal carers’ during this challenging period.

Magnus Group may not be directly in the arena of healthcare, but it is a proactive company able to express views on its vital logistics sector. It has received regional and trade coverage for opinions about the UK supply chain.

Another organisation gaining traction in this period has been Wednesday’s Child. Its work in support of those with eating disorders has featured in more traditional press and media during the pandemic, but has also been the subject of a podcast interview.

Debbie Watson, Lexia’s principal, insists now is certainly not the time for businesses to feel they should shy away from PR opportunities.

“It’s natural that any business which is worried about costs during this period might actually start doubting the need to spend on services like PR and marketing,” she commented.

“And yet, it’s a known fact that those businesses which stay visible and maintain conversations with their audiences, are more likely to bounce back at a swifter pace.

“PR doesn’t have to be expensive or arduous, and it can reap huge benefits in boosting an organisation’s profile – which can be vital in tough times.”
