BBC Dedicate Time to Wednesday’s Child Befriending Announcement

Social enterprise Wednesday’s Child featured on the BBC airwaves again this week.

The not-for-profit has gone from strength to strength since its launch early in 2019, and now it’s celebrating securing a pot of funding from East Suffolk Council, which will enable it to deliver a unique befriending scheme.

Asked by BBC Radio Suffolk to reveal more, the organisation’s founder, Debbie Watson, spoke with James Hazell about the huge impact which Covid 19 has had on those battling an eating disorder, and why the scheme is so important.
